You can make a terrazzo planter with drainage in two ways—either with or without holes. For the one without holes, fill the bottom of the pot with 1-2 inches of small rocks (e.g. gravel) or broken pot pieces. Make sure the filling is even for a good drainage system. The excess water in the container will settle at the bottom away from the roots of the flower/plant.
